A few issues might be going on.
First, we might be having trouble with Search It and database connections generally - it might not be you! To verify, please see our website, which will often have updates, or call the reference desk at 509-335-8516.
Sometimes things get messed up with your library account that puts a hold on it. For example, fines, change in student or faculty status (even if you should still have privileges... for example, if you go from an undergraduate to a graduate student, this might put a glitch in your account that is easily fixed), and more could do this. To find out, please contact Access Services at 509-335-9672 and they can look into your account.
If this still does not work, please fill out the Online Access Issues Form and we will look into it.
A series of connection help files are available - please be aware that the help files for Search IT differ from the help files for library databases.
