If you have ordered something we do not have to return (article, book chapter), and we are able to get it from either one of our libraries or consortial partners, electronic documents can take as little as 24-48 hours. If we have to go outside, it can take up to 5 days. You will receive an email with either the actual PDF document attached or you will be provided with a link where you can access the full text article online. You can also go to your Illiad account online and access the document via the link provided.
Once received, a scanned copy of the article will remain in your account for 30 days.
If it is a returnable (book, media, microfilm) it depends on how far away the owning institution is and/or how common the item you want is. Most ILLs can be obtained within 4-7 working days with a small minority of items taking up to two weeks or occasionally longer. You will receive an email saying the item is ready for pickup and your WSU Library account will show you have a hold ready.
If you are a Faculty member or a Graduate student and you have chosen Office Delivery for returnable items, it will take one or two additional days to arrive in your office mailbox.
